  • Malfis wore a smile reminiscent of darker, crueler times, as he easily scaled the steep, imperceptible wall. His sharp nails finding crevasse in rock that vamp humans could not. He entered the window from the balcony. Silently entering the large room, he approach Volaris' sleeping form on a large bed. Volaris stirred restlessly in her sleep, sensing his presence in the sleeping chamber. Her long blonde hair was sprawled and gleaming against the heavy dark coverlets on the bed. Torn between the need to rashly satiate his cravings, and his desire to groom her to become his partner for the next few centuries, he summoned her to wakefulness.

With a gasp, she opened her eyes, realizing that this was not a dream. vamp As instructed without words, Volaris lay back against the pillows, pulling the sheet to her waist. His hunger grew, as he watched one lovely pulsing vein in her neck, before moving to her bedside.

He whispered softly against her neck, "You will vaguely remember this as a dream, a recurring dream, finally to slip into the dream that will become your new life, a life of immortality." He drank slowly, savoring her, that first night. On the final night of his visits, he drank deeply, to his fill. Her flesh had become pallid, and thin, her eyes losing their luster, her hair losing its gleaming qualities.vamp

To him, she was beautiful, and he longed to wake her fully. He offered his wrist to her, and she used her newfound qualities, to take his essence into herself.
